We are ridiculously hyped to bring you a very special guest at Playhouse: the March edition. It’s the one and only Victor Ebuwa from Big Brother 5!
If you want an all-night-long dance to chart pop, RnB, hip-hop, indie, synth-pop, UKG, electro and whatever else, you’ve come to the right place. Girls Aloud, Pulp, Kanye West, Refused, Sean Paul, Talking Heads, Artful Dodger, George Michael, Robyn, Rihanna, Destiny’s Child, Beastie Boys, Metronomy - expect the unexpected.
Victor Ebuwa is anyone in their right mind’s favourite Big Brother contestant of all time, and he warns that he’ll be getting embarrassingly drunk after his DJ set. So get excited… (It’s also our very own Natalie’s birthday, so make sure you buy her shots all night)
Playhouse is turning 25 months old. We play all-party sets from open ‘til close, going from At The Drive to Icona Pop, Artful Dodger to Rhanna, Taylor Swift to Beyonce and Jimmy Eat World to Robyn. If you want an all-night-long dance to chart pop, RnB, hip-hop, indie, synth-pop, UKG, electro and whatever else, you’ve come to the right place.
This month’s guest DJ is Piccadilly Boy, all the way from Brighton.
October 2012 might as well be renamed, for the amount of Playhouse action there is coming up.
We’re guest DJing at sexy, sweaty, bolshy, beautiful RnB party HotHouse and then the weekend after, it’s the regular Playhouse with our special guest DJs all the way from Munich.
Then after one weekend off, it’s the launch of our spin-off night in King’s Cross, followed by a Halloween party with our friends Dirty Sex Music.
Fresh from touring the US and Europe, and headlining the Scala in London, we’ve nabbed the sublime and unmistakeable VERONICA FALLS as April’s guest DJs - and we couldn’t be more thrilled, as they’re one of our very favourite bands.
Playhouse returns after five sell-out months in a row with the usual mix of chart pop, RnB, hip-hop, post-punk, indiepop, synth-pop and alt. pop.
Girls Aloud, Brand New, Kanye West, Artful Dodger, Talking Heads, Mis-Teeq, Annie, A Tribe Called Quest, Destiny’s Child, Black Flag, Annie… and more. Expect the unexpected.
And watch the video for Veronica Falls’ ace new track ‘Come On Over’:
Playhouse returns after four sell-out months in a row with the usual mix of chart pop, RnB, hip-hop, post-punk, indiepop, synth-pop and alt. pop. Girls Aloud, Brand New, Kanye West, Artful Dodger, Talking Heads, Mis-Teeq, Annie, A Tribe Called Quest, Destiny’s Child, Black Flag, Annie… and more.
We are so, so thrilled to welcome kindred spirits Love Machine as March’s guest DJs. They’ve had Alphabeat and Mini Viva as their own guest DJs in the past, and been described by one Nicola Roberts as “the best night EVER” (she obviously hasn’t been to Playhouse) »> LOVE MACHINE ON T’INTERNET
Incoming! Incoming! This is happening. With our very very special guest DJs and BFFs Librarians Wanted. Expect the regular japes, plus a Scandi-pop twist… it’s our 13th-night anniversary after all.
